Why Donations Matter
As a volunteer-led charity, the Northern National Restoration Group relies on donations to continue preserving the road passenger transport heritage of the North East. Restoring and maintaining historic vehicles is complex, specialist work that requires time, materials, storage space and ongoing care. Without financial support, this important heritage would be at risk.
Every donation directly contributes to practical outcomes. Funding helps us purchase essential parts and materials, carry out mechanical and bodywork restoration, protect vehicles from deterioration, and secure suitable storage to safeguard them for the long term. Donations also support insurance, transport to events and the tools needed for safe and effective conservation work.
Support from donors enables more than just restoration it supports sustainability and growth. Funding allows us to expand educational engagement, attend more community events, develop volunteer skills and move closer to securing a permanent base that will future-proof the collection. In short, donations ensure that these vehicles are not only preserved, but actively shared with the public for generations to come.
